General Information

The Char Dham Yatra, an Indian pilgrimage, visits Yamunotri, Gangotri, Kedarnath, and Badrinath. In the Himalayas, these Hindu pilgrimage places are sacred. The adventure begins in Delhi, India's capital, and transforms faith and discovery.

The first stop is Yamunotri, the Yamuna River source and Goddess Yamuna's temple. Pilgrims seek blessings and cleanliness at the temple amid beautiful scenery. Gangotri, Ganges River source, follows. The Gangotri Temple draws devotees who revere the river. Lord Shiva's Kedarnath, a spiritual and natural experience, requiring a difficult journey through rugged terrain. The last destination, Lord Vishnu's Badrinath temple and tranquility, awaits.

The yatra begins with a drive from Delhi to Haridwar or Rishikesh. Long treks via winding roads allow pilgrims to see India's northern vistas change. The Yatra is done in the warmer months since winters might make these remote areas inaccessible.

  • Day 01 : Pick up Delhi & Drive to Haridwar (200 kms/ 05 Hrs.)
  • Day 02 : Haridwar / Barkot via Mussoorie – Kempty Fall (210 kms./ 07 Hrs.)
  • Day 03 : Barkot or Kharsali / Yamunotri / Barkot or Kharsali (Excursion) – 80 kms/ (Trek 5 kms.one way)
  • Day 04 : Barkot or Kharsali / Uttarkashi (100 kms/ 04 Hrs.)
  • Day 05 : Uttarkashi)/ Gangotri/ Uttarkashi (200 kms./ 05 Hrs.)
  • Day 06 : Uttarkashi/ Guptkashi (Sitapur) (240 kms/ 09 hrs.)
  • Day 07 : Guptkashi/ Sitapur (Phata – Kedarnath– By Helicopter or Trek –Night halt)
  • Day 08 : Kedarnath/ Sitapur Kedarnath –Phata – By Helicopter or by Trek )
  • Day 09 : Guptkashi/ Chopta/ Badrinath (220 kms/ 08 hrs.)
  • Day 10 : Badrinath/ Sri Nagar (195 kms/ 6 Hrs.)
  • Day 11 : Sri Nagar / Devprayag/ Rishikesh (115 kms./ 4 Hrs.)
  • Day 12 : Rishikesh/ New Delhi Drop (220 Kms./ 06 Hrs)

Detailed Itinerary

Day 01 : Delhi/ Haridwar (200 kms/ 5 hrs.)
  • 09:00 Hrs : You will be met at a pick up point (New Delhi Rly.Sta) by our representative and be driven to
    Haridwar.
  • 14:00 Hrs : Approx On arrival check in at the hotel.
  • 16:00 Hrs : Evening visit to Mansa Devi Temple and enjoy Aarti at Har ki Pauri.
  • 20:00 Hrs. : Dinner
  • Overnight stay at the Hotel.
  • 07:00 hrs : buffet breakfast will be served at the hotel.
  • 08:30 hrs : drive to Barkot via Mussoorie. En route visit Kempty fall if time permits. On arrival check in into the hotel, rest of the day is at leisure.

No activities : Acclimatize your mind & body to start a trek next day to Yamunotri 2000 Hrs. Dinner and overnight stay at hotel at Hotel.

  • 06:00 hrs. : Collect your pack breakfast from the hotel and drive to Jankichatti, from here start your trek to Yamunotri (6kms). You may go with other options like pony, Palki and Doli.

Attractions : Yamuna Maa Temple the main diety.

Cooked rice : the pilgrims cook rice in the hot water kund at take it back home as prasad.

Surya Kund : the major hotspring which flows from the vicinity of the temple.

Divya Shila : it’s a rock pillar worshiped before entring the temple. After taking bath in Jamunabai Kund & warn water and having & Darshan of pious Yamunaji returning to Jankichatti.

  • 5:30 hrs. drive down to Barkot
  • 19:00 hrs. Dinner
  • Overnight stay at the hotel.
  • 08:00 hrs : after breakfast push off for your next destination Uttarkashi. On the way you can stop over for TEA at Radi Top where you can have glimpses of beautiful himalayan ranges and futher explore Shiv Gufa.
  • 14:00 hrs : On arrival check in at the Hotel.
  • 17:00 hrs : proceed for sight seeing of Uttarkashi

  • Aarti at Kashi Vishwanath Temple
  • Shakti Temple
  • 20:00 hrs : enjoy dinner & Overnight stay at the hotel.

09:00 hrs : After late breakfast push over to Gangotri via Harsil On arrival proceed for your pooja & darshan.


Attractions :-

Harsil –  On the way to Gangotri Harsil it self is an attraction a destination that has become popular among the traveller in a very short period of time.

Apple orchards – Know for its delicious apples orchards harsil apples are popular globally today.

Gangotri Temple – Was constucted by Gorkha General Amar Singh Thapa in the 18 th century.

Submerged Shivling – According to mythology lord Shiva sat on this rock when he received GANGA in the matted lock., the rock is only visible during the winters when water level goes down.

13:00 hrs : Drive down to Uttarkashi, on arrival check in at the Hotel.

20:00 Hrs : Dinner & Overnight at the Hotel.

07:00 hrs. - After breakfast drive to Guptkashi/ Sitapur.

17:00 hrs. - On arrival check in at the hotel.

20:00 hrs. Dinner - Overnight stay at the hotel.

06:00 After early breakfast drive to Phata to board helicopter shuttle to Kedarnath/ or drive to Gaurikund where the trekking route starts to Kedarnath Overnight stay in Kedarnath.

06:00 After early breakfast fly to Phata by helicopter shuttle from Kedarnath/ or trek down to Gaurikund on arrival in Gaurikund/ Phata drive to your hotel.Overnight stay in Guptkashi/ Sitapur.

08:00 hrs : After breakfast drive for Badrinath today via Ukimath, Chopta and Joshimath. 1600 hrs : approx - On arrival in Badrinath check in at your hotel. Later proceed for darshan and Aarti of Badrinvishal. 20:00 hrs Dinner and overnight at Hotel.

Early morning, pilgrims after having a bath in the Taptkund have the Darshan of Badrivishal. Brahamakapal is significant for Pinddan Shraddh of ancestors (Pitrus).


Badrinath : Situated at an elevation of 3133 mts. above sea level, Badrinath is one of the most celebrated pilgrim destination of the country.


Attractions –

Mana Village – It’s the last Indian village before Tibet, inhabited by the indo- mangolian tribe


Vyas Gufa – A rocky cave in Mana Village, it’s a belief that rishi Vyas scripted the famous epic of times “Mahabaratha”


Charan Paduka – A beautiful meadow where you can see the footprints of Lord Vishnu on a boulder Tapt


Kund – It’s a natural hot water spring where the devotees take bath before entring the temple for pooja, darshan.


Narad Kund – Very next to the Tapt Kund, its believed that the idol of Badrinath G was recovered from this pool.


Vishuprayag – The first prayag, confluence of Dhauliganga and Alakananda River.

1300 hrs : Drive down to Sri Nagar enroute visiting Rudraprayag

Chardham Yatra

18:00 hrs : on arrival check in at your Hotel.

20:00 hrs : Dinner and overnight stay at the Hotel.

08:00 hrs. : After breakfast drive to Rishikesh en route visiting Devprayag


Devprayag : one of the panch prayags where rivers Alaknanda and Bhagirathi meet and takes the name Ganga.


Visit Raghunath G Temple : It is believed that Lord Ram and his father King Dushratha did penance here. The temple here is believed that was built more then ten thousand years ago revealing the history of existence of Lord Krishna & Lord Rama.

Rishikesh, the place of sages is a celebrated spiritual town on the bank of Ganga and is surrounded by Shivalik range of the Himalayas on three sides. It is said that when Raibhya Rishi did hard penances, God appeared by the name of  Hrishikesh  and this area hence firth came to be known as Rishikesh.

Parmarth Niketan : one of the most popular ashrams where kids get VEDAS education. Overnight stay at the Hotel.


Attractions in Rishikesh : -

Ram Jhula Laxman Jula : one of the land marks of Rishikesh, it is believed that Laxman crossed the Ganges on jute ropes between the place the bridge is built.

SwaragAshram : situated on the foot of the Himalayas on the left banks of the ganges between Laxman Jhula & Rishikesh, filled with concentration of ashrams and temples. The place has been know for ages and popular with Yogi and Rishis meditating.

09:00 hrs : After breakfast drive to Delhi – proceed for onward journey.
